How GravityPing uses text messages to keep your brews on track.
What Messages We Send
GravityPing sends gravity check reminder notifications via SMS and WhatsApp to help homebrewers track their fermentation. These messages remind you when it's time to take a gravity reading based on the schedule you set for each brew.
How to Opt In
Users opt in to SMS/WhatsApp reminders by:
- Creating a GravityPing account
- Upgrading to the Pro plan ($2.99/mo or $29.99/yr)
- Verifying their phone number in Settings
- Selecting SMS or WhatsApp as their notification channel
You will not receive any SMS or WhatsApp messages unless you explicitly complete all of these steps.
Message Frequency
Message frequency depends on the user's chosen check-in schedule - typically 2-7 messages per week. You control how often you receive messages by adjusting your brew check-in schedule.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately stop receiving SMS/WhatsApp notifications. You can also disable SMS/WhatsApp notifications in your GravityPing Settings page.
After opting out, you can re-enable notifications at any time from your Settings.
Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. GravityPing does not charge for individual messages beyond the Pro subscription.
